Stax Around The World
While Stax Records struggled to get their own label in the UK, they did appear in other countries. Below are some examples from Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Jamaica and Portugal. Some European records were issued in picture sleeves giving added interest. Also, records that were on Stax subsidiaries (like 'Hip Records' ) in the USA appeared on the mainsteam Stax label elsewhere. |

| Canada 'Hip' hit appears withe the Stax logo. |

FranceStrange choice of colour for a 'Yellow period' single.Most Frence singles came in picture covers. |

| Germany This is a typical European 'moulded' label from the 1970s. On the plus side - this one came in a nice picture cover. |

| Holland Another 'Goodee'. This time with three logos - 'Hip', 'Paramount' and an unusual 'Stax Records' |

| Jamaica These look like bootlegs to me. The pressing and sound quality are very poor and there are no matrix numbers in the run-out groove. |

| Portugal This came in a 'Schweppes' promotional sleve. Unfortunately it has been covered in scribbles so it is not worth showing. |
